Marijuana is listed as a Schedule I Controlled Substance under the Federal Controlled Substances Act, for which prescriptions cannot be issued (21 U.S.C. §§ 812(b)(1) and 829) and state legalization has no relevance. In the States that have legalized marijuana possession, the federal prohibitions against possession and distribution remain in effect.
The conditions of your federal supervision require you to abstain from using and/or possessing marijuana in any form prescribed or otherwise.
Regardless of the legalization of medical and recreational marijuana use in New York State, any use and/or possession of this substance is a violation.
